Co-organized by Getty Conservation Institute; National Park Service, Vanishing Treasures Program; and University of Pennsylvania, Stuart Weitzman School of Design. Under the aegis of The International council on Monuments and Sites, International Scientific Committee on the Conservation of the Earthen Architectural Heritage

Terra 2021 World Congress is the thirteenth international congress organized by the earthen architecture community under the aegis of ICOMOS since 1972. It is expected to draw hundreds of specialists in the fields of conservation, anthropology, archaeology, architecture and engineering, scientific research, site management, and sustainable development of earthen architectural heritage. The four-day program will include papers, posters and videos/digital media that reflect the latest research and best practice in the study and conservation of earthen heritage around the world.

The wealth, variety and significance of earthen heritage in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the greater region of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico make it an ideal setting for the congress, which aims to inform and stimulate conversations around earthen heritage. The program will include sessions presenting technical information, management issues, methodology, advances in research, case studies and guidelines for best practice. Optional pre-congress and post-congress tours will be offered.

Visit the Terra 2021 website for complete congress information.
