The week long education seminar is taking place as part of the 8th “Grains d’Isère – Festival des Architecture de Terre”, which runs from the 17th - 29th May 2010 and is organised by the Laboratoire CRAterre at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble (ENSAG).
The seminar will facilitate an exchange of experiences among several international networks already actively engaged in issues of education in earthen architecture, whether in higher education, training, advocacy or public education. The aim is to help to reach a shared vision of the future. The organizing committee (CRATerre-ENSAG) has invited teachers and researchers from universities as well as vocational training institutions at an international, European and national level to share their experiences and reflect together on a vision of the future development of higher education, vocational training and the general public awareness of earthen architecture, its conservation and its contribution to sustainable development.
